The female is very tame — she loves attention and can be held and played with. They’ve produced a few healthy clutches and are used to spending their days out on top of the cage or with me (wings not trimmed but they stay nearby). Both love their daily baths in their bowl, and the female even murmurs a few words.
They get fresh chopped veggies and fruit every day (apple, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, corn, etc.) along with a balanced diet.
I usually replace real eggs with fake ones to hand raise the chicks myself. All of their babies go to the bird shop on Thunderbird and 35th ave and get rehomed quickly.
