The Lil Mynx Pro Pole is a 2-piece, friction-fit pole that also features a bolted ceiling mount, providing the added security of a semi-permanent mounting system. Importantly for apartment dwellers, the mounting system requires only one relatively small bolt into a ceiling joist. This means that when you move, you simply unscrew the mount and insert a small amount of Polyfil or spackling paste into the hole, much like you would when filling nail holes from picture hangers.
The Pro Pole comes apart easily and stores in a hard case (which also comes with accessories such as a stud finder, tape measure, grip ring, and non-skid floor pad.
The one-piece poles are not technically classified as portable, although they could be relocated if another mount were installed in each desired location. These one-piece dance poles are 8-9 feet long; however, in practical terms, they are not easily transported.
Lil Mynx is one of the original dance poles made for home use. The company that makes these poles, Pacific International Marketing and Promotions (P.I.M.P.), was started by Lizz and Randy Blacker in 2002. They are based in California, USA, and ship worldwide.
Lil Mynx has since changed ownership, but the company continues to manufacture a range of removable dance poles. Prices range from USD $279 to $650. This pole is a high-end model.
One of the great things about a Lil Mynx dance pole is that the company offers a wide range of replacement parts. Although they produce a high-quality product, sometimes a part may wear out. Or maybe you want to change out your ceiling mount from standard to vaulted if you move house.
