This turquoise ring is vintage and handcrafted, showing traditional silversmithing techniques. This is a striking and large statement ring, most likely native American Southwest style. It features a very prominent turquoise gemstone set in sterling silver. The turquoise cabochon is a generous size and has a vibrant Natural blue green color with some visible matrix. Matrix means the natural webbing or veins of the host rock. That webbing runs through the ring, which adds character. This is a simple bezel and is framed by a decorative twisted silver wire or rope trim. The outer edge of the setting is smoothly polished silver. The overall setting was quite substantial, giving the ring, a bold traditional look.
