Direct Report Relationship: Facility & Maintenance Manager
To perform routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment or facility repairs. All electrical work or simple plumbing repairs, adjusting and maintaining HVAC equipment as assigned. Primary responsibility will be facility indoor/outdoor maintenance of resort grounds fixtures and equipment.
The Maintenance Technician takes direction from the Facility Maintenance Manager and/or the Director of Resort Operations.
Reports daily to immediate supervisor for each day's/week's assignments.
Assembles materials and supplies from supply room and transports them to the work area.
Performs simple carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves, hooks or lock sets.
Changes light bulbs and may replace fixtures and does similar skilled electrical tasks as change circuit breakers.
Opens clogged drains, fixes leaks and performs other related plumbing duties.
Does touch-up painting and repaints rooms as required.
Assists with loading and unloading trucks and moving furniture when needed.
Assists with room setup and tear down, with storing items in its appropriate location.
Makes preventive maintenance checks and inspects assigned equipment. Reports any findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes. Where possible, takes corrective action to eliminate.
Notifies Building Maintenance Manager or Facility Manager of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of quality problems or supplies needed.
Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees as assigned.
Maintains tools and maintenance equipment in working order and keeps maintenance room in a neat condition.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
2-3 years of related experience preferred.
Must be a steady, reliable worker.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to perform tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
Must have general knowledge of equipment used in the building trades.
Have the ability to read schematics and blue prints.
Able to interact positively with the public and teammates.

Manual dexterity to use hand tools and to paint.
