**Selected candidates must be available to perform a working interview during the period of December 17-20. The working interview will take approximately 4 hours and will pay $160. The selected candidate will choose the date and time within the period of December 17-20.**
Our family business, Desert Coast Metering, LLC, is looking for reliable, self-motivated and organized independent contractors for ongoing part-time gig work reading utility meters at a variety of locations in Pheonix and surrounding areas.
Successful candidates will be hard working, reliable, and detail oriented. Job sites may be indoors or outdoors, and work requires walking and bending in all weather conditions.
Hours and Compensation:
Hours and compensation will be site and job specific. This is a great part-time opportunity to pick up extra income on the weekends or around other employment.
Assignments and pay are dependent on contract. Independent contractors have vast autonomy regarding hours of work, but work must be completed within an established four-day window of the contracted due date.
This position is for 1099 independent contractor work. You will be required to complete a W-9 and will be responsible for your own self-employment taxes.
Requirements:
*Current driver’s license
*Reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance
*Smartphone with internet access
*Professional liability insurance and any required business licenses
*You must be physically able to move up and down stairs, walk consistently for a few hours per day, and be able to read tiny dials on meters and record them accurately each month
NO METER READING OR UTILITY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
*We will train you on how to read meters and use the Apps required for the job
