Framus 12-String “Texan” Acoustic Guitar - Vintage. Rare. Plays well and sounds great, but there’s a slight buzz on the higher strings about midway up the neck. Brand new strings. The design around the sound hole is like nothing I’ve seen in my research of this guitar. The label in sound hole says “Built in the Heart of Bavaria” and “Made in Germany”. Serial #26727, signifying it was made in Feb ’67. Lots of dings, scratches, missing truss cover plate, a missing tooth on the guitar nut (just below headstock), looks like it was left in the sun and/or has some water damage. Large crack on the upper side, very amateur repair. This guitar might be an investment for a luthier or guitar repair specialist. Fixed up properly, it can fetch several hundred dollars, maybe a thousand. I just don’t have the time to mess with it. Side Note: The Framus was one of John Lennon’s favorite acoustic guitars. He played a 12-string Framus “Hootenanay” guitar on “Norwegian Wood”, "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", “Help!”, “It’s Only Love” and “I’m a Loser”. Ok, this isn’t a Hootenany, but it’s still a Framus 12-string. My research reveals this model sells for $400 - $1,200. Due to its rarity, but minus it's condition, I’m asking the low end $200, OBO. Cash only, in-person transaction. To see a video demo, search YT “Framus 12-String Acoustic For Sale in Phoenix”.
