1988 Jackson USA Ontario Pre-Production Dinky Strat – Black & Pink Crackle
If you’re looking for an authentic piece of late-’80s hair metal history, this is it. An extraordinarily rare pre-production Jackson Dinky Strat, built in 1988 at the Jackson USA Ontario, California shop, before the DK1 entered full production.
These guitars were custom, made-to-order one-offs, produced in very limited numbers for select players and dealers. This example features an ebony fretboard, the legendary Jackson Dinky neck profile, original factory Jackson pickups and Floyd Rose.
The Black and Pink Crackle finish is especially striking—I have never encountered another pre-production Dinky in this colorway. It’s a true standout and a genuine collector’s piece.
Condition is investment-grade and remarkably well preserved. The guitar appears virtually unplayed, with no scratches, nicks, dings, or wear—a true time capsule from 1988.
Includes the original Jackson hard case, along with original hang tags and tools.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a rare and historically significant Jackson from the golden era of shred.
