2017 Les Paul Standard HP - Heritage Cherry Flame Top EMG's
Gibson made these Standard HP models from 2016-2018. It was an attempt to modernize the Standard and included a "Soloist" style neck which is a much thinner/wider profile than standard Les Paul's. Feels very similar to a Jackson Soloist neck with its fast-access contoured heel and compound radius fretboard. Other "modernizations" included a titanium nut and the hated "robo tuners". I changed the tuners back to the more standard Grover Locking ones. The other cosmetic hardware (truss rod cover, toggle switch and knobs) was also changed back to more Traditional Les Paul standard gear. I swapped the pickups to the EMG 81/85 "Zakk Wylde" set. The result is what I felt was the best of all worlds. A killer flame top (pics don't do it justice) Les Paul Standard with a super comfortable shred style neck and sustain that lasts for days. Aside from the EMGs, I used all Gibson parts or parts that are standard on Gibsons (Grover/Tune o Matic etc.). It's in pretty much new condition. A few light pick marks here and there. Plays like a dream. Comes with the original hard-shell case and all the case candy pictured. Even has a photograph of how it looked at the factory before being boxed up. Love this guitar but need to make room for others.

I live up in Wickenburg but am working in Surprise most days and typically in North Phoenix a day or two a week. We can figure something convenient for both of us if you want to check it out.
