I am selling a used 3/4 size upright bass that I have been playing professionally since 2023. My best guess is that it was made in Germany sometime before 1960. When I bought this bass, I had it refinished and updated with a new adjustable bridge, new end pin, and new D’Addario Helicore strings. The bass is of laminate (plywood) construction with an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece. The strings are set low enough to be comfortable to play yet high enough for a good, clean sound. The instrument has no cracks or structural flaws. Cosmetically, it is also very good. There is one small chip about 1/4" square in the upper purfling (see pic). I added leather bumpers to protect the edges. I also added removable dots to mark where the main notes are (spaced as on a bass guitar). These can be easily removed. The bass comes with a lightweight Protec bag.
