This computer does not run Windows, but instead is running Linux Mint 21.3, a beautiiful, full-featured, and fast Linux operating system that comes with tons of free software. It also comes with a full Office Suite pre-installed as well.
This system has the following hardware installed:
- ASUS Rampage II GENE socket 1366 motherboard. This board is one of the
premier socket 1366 motherboards of the day and has some amazing features.
- Intel Xeon E5620 CPU oveclocked to 3.0 GHz, boosting up to 3.2GHz. It is
effectively equivalent to, and uses the same socket as, an Intel i7-960 CPU.
- 12GB of DDR3 RAM in Triple Channel
- 500GB Hard Drive
- AMD Radeon HD 4550 Graphics card
- Integrated ethernet network connection
It also has a DVD-RW combo drive, so you can watch movies, play music, and run older games on CD/DVD as well.
While it is running Linux, it is fully able to play tons of 'Windows-based' games under Steam, which has a native Linux client. You can also use numerous Windows "emulator" environments, such as Wine, Bottles, etc... to play other non-Steam games. Finally, many games also include Native Linux clients. All up, you can play a ton of games on this computer, including, but not limited to:
