Seeking CDL Class A Truck Driver for immediate hire with 2+ experience and clean driving record.
Responsible for safely operating company owned commercial tractor and flatbed trailer to transport primarily steel across assigned routes. Ensures on‑time deliveries, maintains accurate logs, follows DOT regulations, and maintains professionalism at all times.
Driver is contracted and will be 1099 at end of year. Compensation is $300/day at minimum. We expect driver to be willing to run loads regularly (5 days/week on average) with opportunity for extra work or longer hauls if wanted.
Option for lease-to-own on truck after 4-6 months of steady work.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight locally, regionally, or over-the-road.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, tarps, or other equipment as required. (Training provided as needed).
• Maintain accurate driver logs, hours-of-service records, and delivery documentation.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
• Perform basic truck maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of loads while maintaining safe driving practices.
Qualifications
• Valid CDL Class A license 2+ years
• Clean driving record with ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screenings and medical clearance
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, ELD systems, and safe driving procedures
• Strong time‑management and communication skills.
