PDI Construction is a 76-year old, family owned, Arizona based company with a deep history in utility construction. Our specialties include trenching and excavation, directional boring, vacuum excavation, and hydro excavation. PDI’s clients include general contractors, electrical contractors, utility providers, telecommunications providers, municipalities, federal entities and departments of transportation.
We are a busy utility contractor with heavy construction equipment that requires Class “A” CDL Driver with tanker endorsement for transportation to and from jobsites.
If you only intend to transport equipment but do not want to participate in the construction or clean-up work onsite, this position is not a good a good fit for you.
If you are experienced with utility construction, operating heavy equipment or just willing to put in your share of the work required to get a job completed then this will be a great opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
• Ensure safe transport of equipment to and from jobsites as needed
• Inspect all equipment and ensure properly secured to trailer
• Desire/Ability to be productive active part of construction crew
• Heavy equipment operator experience (preferred but not required)
• Help on jobsite with whatever tasks necessary
• Work with job foreman and crews to complete work in a safe timely manner.
• Operate other applicable equipment as needed (if qualified) on jobsite.
• Ability to work with others to ensure project is completed.
Qualifications
• Must have Commercial Driver License with tanker endorsement
• Must meet all DOT requirements
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• Must have the ability to solve problems and overcome challenges
• Must have the ability to accurately complete all documentation including time sheets, safety documentation, etc.
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicle or operate company equipment.
• Must be enrolled in FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
